Day 1: Begin in Venice<\/b><\/h3>\n

From the moment you arrive in Venice, you\u2019ll begin ticking items off the bucket list – the first being a water taxi down the Grand Canal to your hotel. Tick!<\/span><\/p>\n

The rest of the day will be spent learning about this beautiful city. In the afternoon, you\u2019ll sail past the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, the public gardens and the tip of Sant’Elena to arrive at the island of Murano, renowned throughout the world for its glass-blowing industry.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In one of Murano\u2019s many factories, you\u2019ll observe a glass-blowing workshop before hopping back on your boat in the direction of the picturesque island of Burano. While Burano\u2019s lace industry is almost as thriving as Murano\u2019s glass; the island is much more famous for its fisherman’s houses which are brightly painted with colours of the rainbow.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Your final stop of the afternoon will be Torcello to admire the magnificent mosaics in its cathedral. You\u2019ll return to Venice in the evening with a wonderful insight into the Venetian lagoon.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 2: Venice City Tour & Gondola Ride<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

A city with such immense beauty, you could easily spend your entire 2 weeks in Venice, Italy. Built over 100 islands, Venice is a magical network of canals complimented by the pastel-coloured, historical buildings that line up alongside them disappearing into the water.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On the second day of this itinerary, you\u2019ll take in the beauty of Venice on a walking tour of the city. You\u2019ll visit the most iconic sights with a local guide beginning in the religious and cultural centre of the city, Piazza San Marco. From here, you\u2019ll be led on an anecdotal journey of history to the Doge’s Palace, St. Mark’s Basilica, St. Mark’s Bell Tower and the Clock Tower.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 3: Continue Your 2 Weeks in Florence, Italy<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Cradle of Renaissance calls today as you hop on a high-speed train from Venice to Florence. Once again, you\u2019ll be met at the other end by your driver and guide who will escort you to your hotel and help with any formalities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After settling in, it will be time to explore one of the world\u2019s most famous art galleries, the Uffizi Gallery, with a Local Designer guide. Constructed between 1560 and 1580, the Uffizi Gallery is home to a masterful collection of ancient sculptures and paintings that date from the Middle Ages to the modern-day.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>As you wander around the gallery, you will admire the likes of Giotto, Botticelli, Leonardo, Raffaello, Michelangelo and Caravaggio, kicking off the next few days in the \u2018Tuscan City of Art\u2019 nicely.<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 4: Discover Florence<\/b><\/h3>\n

You\u2019ll learn of the thrilling Palio horse race which takes part in the centre of Siena twice a year, and you\u2019ll visit Piazza del Campo, the majestic Siena Cathedral and the San Domenico Basilica.<\/span><\/p>\n

Your guided exploration of Siena will come to an end in its quaint alleyways which are lined with boutique shops and perfect for a little afternoon shopping.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 6: Tour of San Gimignano & Montalcino<\/b><\/h3>\n

A wine tasting in Tuscany sits right at the top of the Italy to-do list on this day, you\u2019ll be doing just that.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You\u2019ll be leaving the charming city of Siena behind for the day and heading out to the medieval hilltop towns of San Gimignano and Montalcino. San Gimignano charms each and every visitor with its 13th-century city walls and medieval historic centre. You\u2019ll learn of the 13th-century law that enabled the town to remain perfectly preserved to this day with your local guide.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Moving on, you\u2019ll arrive in the town of Montalcino, set amongst lush green fields and endless vineyards. Famous for its wine, Brunello di Montalcino, you\u2019ll explore the town before heading to a renowned wine estate for a special tasting of some local vintages and a light lunch.<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 7: Travel to the Amalfi Coast<\/b><\/h3>\n

Your trip including the Amalfi Coast creates the ideal travel itinerary to make sure you see all the beauty that the country has to offer. Leaving Siena behind, you\u2019ll hop on a train to Naples to meet a driver who will take you to Sorrento, the gateway to the Amalfi Coast. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The afternoon and evening will then be free to spend as you wish to explore Sorrento, the town of lemon groves, plunging cliffs and traditional taverns serving home-cooked food made with passion and love.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 8: Discover the Remnants of Pompeii<\/b><\/h3>\n

Buried under 30-feet of ash following the colossal eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, the Roman city of Pompeii lay undiscovered for 1,500 years. You\u2019ll spend the day with a local guide exploring one of the world\u2019s most important archaeological finds on the Sorrentine Peninsula.<\/span><\/p>\n

Miraculously, the blanket of ash that lay over the city perfectly preserved much of the city\u2019s buildings and its residents. This level of preservations presents you with a unique and fascinating insight into what life was like during the first century in Italy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 9: Explore the Amalfi Coast<\/b><\/h3>\n

On day 9, an exploration of the Amalfi Coast calls! With a local guide and driver, you\u2019ll head out to marvel at the incredible colourful towns and verdant landscapes of the Amalfi Coast, stopping in the towns of Amalfi and Ravello.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With a privileged coastal position affording stunning views, the historic town of Amalfi will be your first stop. Amalfi was the seat of a powerful maritime republic between the 9th and 11th centuries which has left behind a wealth of historic buildings including its imposing cathedral which dominates the town.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The ancient stone streets and stunning cliff top gardens of Ravello form your next stop. Known for its historic and artistic charm, Ravello is where you can discover the rare architecture of the 13th-century Villa Rufolo, whose beautiful gardens overlook the dramatic cliffs and sea below.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 10: The Beautiful Island of Capri<\/b><\/h3>\n

On day 10, you could spend the day exploring more of the Amalfi Coast towns, taking a guided tour of Naples or perhaps taking a tour of the stunning island of Capri.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A short boat ride from Sorrento, Capri is famed for its rugged landscape, its high-end boutiques and its incredibly blue waters hidden in secret coves. On tour, you\u2019ll spend the day taking in the staggering natural beauty of the island including the towns of Capri and Anacapri. The legendary Blue Grotto will be the final stop of the day where a unique geological phenomenon means the sea glows a luminous blue.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 11: Discover Imperial Rome<\/b><\/h3>\n

Most travellers spend 2 weeks starting in Rome, however, this tour spends the last few days in Rome, arguably leaving the best until last!<\/span><\/p>\n

By high-speed train, you\u2019ll travel to Rome from Naples and head straight out on a discovery walking tour of imperial Rome with a local guide. Rome is dotted with famous squares, each one as beautiful as the next. You\u2019ll begin your tour of the Eternal City at Piazza Venezia, followed by the famous Piazza Del Campidoglio, designed by Michelangelo and home to the Roman Forum before heading to Circus Maximus, one of the largest sporting arenas ever built.<\/span><\/p>\n

Not only will you discover these incredible monuments, but you\u2019ll also stroll through the historic centre, admiring the Trevi Fountain, La Colonna di Marco Aurelio, the Palazzo di Montecitorio, the Pantheon, Palazzo Madama and Piazza Navona as you go.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, the day would not be complete without laying eyes on Rome\u2019s most iconic monument: the Colosseum. You\u2019ll take a guided tour of this epic symbol giving you a unique glimpse back in time!<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 12: Explore the Monuments of Classic Rome<\/b><\/h3>\n

While you passed by many of the monuments of classic Rome on the previous day, on this day, you\u2019ll visit the iconic sights in depth. Strolling through the historic centre of Rome, you\u2019ll have the opportunity to throw a coin in the Trevi Fountain and make a wish, admire La Colonna di Marco Aurelio, the Palazzo di Montecitorio and Palazzo Madama, and visit the Pantheon, an icon of Italy.<\/span><\/p>\n
