Experience the magic of the Andes mountains, valleys and lakes on this 13-day Argentina adventure!

Beginning in Buenos Aires, your introduction to Argentina will be through wine, food and dancing! Next up, you'll fly to the mighty Iguazu Falls to explore both the Brazilian and the Argentine side on foot and by kayak.

Salta will be your next stop and from there you'll journey by 4x4 through San Antonio de los Cobres and Salinas Grandes to Purmamarca. You'll visit Quebrada de Humahuaca, Pucará de Tilcara and the local communities in Hornaditas before returning to Salta.

Your final few days will be spent tasting delicious Argentine wine in Calchaqui Valleys and Cafayate Valley at a remote wine lodge!

Day 1

Welcome to Buenos Aires, City Tour with Guide & Optional Culinary Experience!

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed at the airport and taken to your hotel. After checking in, you'll head out on a city tour to the southern part of the city. You'll visit Avenida de Mayo, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and Cabildo. You'll end your tour in San Telmo, a historical neighbourhood and the eldest district of Buenos Aires. In the evening, you'll have the option to joined a shared culinary experience.

This morning, you'll head north to the capital’s outskirts. Tigre is a popular weekend getaway for many "porteños" and boasts many summer homes as well as yacht and rowing clubs. You'll take a one-hour boat excursion along the Paraná Delta and its channels, rivers, streams, and numerous islands, appreciating the lush vegetation. In the evening, you'll head to El Viejo Almacén, a must-do in Buenos Aires. You'll spend the night enjoying tango show with great food, music, singing and dancing.

This morning, you will be picked up and taken to the domestic airport to board your flight to Iguazu. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed at Puerto Iguazu airport and taken to your hotel on the Argentinean side. You'll then head out on the tour of the Brazilian side of the falls. You'll walk along paths and appreciate the lush vegetation, butterflies, and cascades. You'll visit the famous Devil’s Throat, admire the Two Sisters and Bozzeti waterfalls, the Superior Circuit and San Martin Island.

Today, you'll then head out on the tour of the Argentine side of the falls, visiting the Upper Circuit and the famous Devil’s Throat. You'll walk along the Iguazú River canyon for about three kilometres to the lower circuit as you admire the regional fauna and flora and feel the constant presence of the waterfalls. Afterwards, you'll then have the option to take part in the Great Adventure Tour, an off-road and boat tour to the base of the falls!

Today, you'll have the day free to spend as you wish. If you're interested in learning about the Guarani culture, you can visit the Indian village of Tekoa Yriapú of the Mbyá Guarani ethnical group for the opportunity for closer contact with the Guarani culture. You'll all about their living and survival methods, handicrafts, religious traditions and much more. Alternatively, you can get active and head to La Lorenza for a kayaking and walking tour of this beautiful reserve.

Today, you'll head to the airport for your flight to Salta. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted and taken to your hotel. Salta is located in a fertile valley, surrounded by stunning landscapes; the gateway to the wild north. In the afternoon, you'll head out on a guided Salta city tour. You'll walk around the main square, see the stunning colonial buildings like the Salta Cathedral and the High Mountain Museum (MAAM). You'll end your tour in San Lorenzo, a small colonial village outside of Salta.

Early in the morning, you'll leave Salta and head towards San Antonio de los Cobres. In a 4x4 vehicle, you'll follow the Tren a las Nubes rails and drive through the colourful Quebrada del Toro. You'll journey to Santa Rosa de Tastil and enjoy a walk as you visit the Tastil pre-Incan ruins. You'll make a quick stop in the small town of San Antonio de los Cobres, visit the Salinas Grandes, arrive in Purmamarca and stroll around the colourful handicrafts market and appreciating Seven Color Hill.

From Purmamarca, you'll drive north to the border between Salta and Jujuy. Here, you'll visit the UNESCO site, Quebrada de Humahuaca, a 155-kilometre-long mountain valley that frames villages where old traditions, cuisine, and music live on. You'll appreciate the landscapes filled with multi-coloured hills, valleys, and the altiplano. Afterwards, you'll visit Pucará de Tilcara, an ancient indigenous fortress situated in a magnificent setting surrounded by cacti and colourful mountains.

You'll see how they use ancestral techniques for farming, enjoy lunch with the community before driving 220 kilometres to Salta.

Today, you'll leave Salta and drive to the Calchaquí Valley’s highest point: “Piedra del Molino” which is a natural gate that separates the Lerma and Calchaquíes Valleys. You'll cross the National Park Los Cardones and reach the quaint village of Cachi. You'll then continue the scenic drive through the Calchaquies Valley to Cafayate and check-in at your hotel. Surrounded by green vineyards backed by towering mountains, this small, quiet and clean town has something for everyone.
