Begin your trip in the capital city, Harare, and proceed on to the Eastern Highlands of the country and explore the vast mountain ranges offering fantastic hiking trails and birding opportunities.

Discover one of Africa's largest ancient ruins -Great Zimbabwe- and visit its museum for a detailed history of this medieval city. Explore the Matobo National Park, home of the black and white rhino and the large population of black eagles.

Discover the fantastic cave paintings and learn about the history of this area through numerous tours. Hwange National Park, the largest in Zimbabwe will provide you with the opportunity to track wildlife in 4x4 vehicles including some of Africas largest elephant herds.

Finally, you'll end your discovery tour along the Zambezi River with relaxing activity options including bird watching along the banks.

After your lunch at the lodge, you will have some free time to relax and enjoy the amenities on offer including the swimming pools which are surrounded by beautiful gardens and artwork. This morning, you'll transfer to Penhalonga. The eastern border town of Penhalonga is home to one of Zimbabwe’s best-kept secrets: La Rochelle, a magical cross between a fairytale castle and a French chateau, surrounded by manicured gardens on the edge of verdant forest-cloaked mountains. This luxury country house is an oasis of tranquillity and charm. After lunch, you can explore the Botanic Gardens with your guide from this historical property.

This morning, you'll drive to the Vumba Mountains with your local guide to explore all the rich history this region has to offer including a visit to the Castle Beacon. After lunch back at the country house, your guide will propose various activities including a nature walk along the trails surrounding the property. This area is well known for fantastic bird watching.

After breakfast, you'll drive to Chimanimani National Park, situated along the eastern boundary of Chimanimani district (bordering Mozambique) in an area of rugged mountain grandeur, enhanced by many spectacular gorges and high peaks rising to 2436 metres. There are several streams cascading through the mountain formations as well as numerous mountain springs, some of which you'll explore this afternoon on a guided mountain hike.

In the morning, you'll once again hike in Chimanimani National Park, an area of rugged mountain grandeur, enhanced by many spectacular gorges and high peaks. After lunch back at your lodge, you'll proceed with your local guide on the loop walk to Bridal Viel Falls. Once you reach the falls, you'll enjoy a refreshing dip in the rushing waters of the falls. Make sure to bring a pair of suitable hiking boots for the trails!

This morning, you'll check out and travel to Norma Jeane's Lakeview Resort. After lunch, you'll explore the Great Zimbabwe Ruins. This was the capital of the Queen of Sheba, according to an age-old legend – a unique testimony to the Shona civilisation between the 11th and 15th centuries. In the evening, you'll have dinner at the lodge with great views overlooking the lake.

Then, it is time to get dressed to be ready to depart on a morning game drive in the Hwange National Park. Your guide will suggest the best route for your day, both morning and afternoon drives. You'll discover Hwange's famous pans and explore the national park which is home to some of the largest elephant populations in Africa.

Today, you will have the option to take part in a full day safari in the Hwange National Park. Over the course of the day, you'll be able to track some of Africa's Big Cats including lions and cheetahs.
