On this two week Italy tour you will have plenty of time to explore the country at your own pace and discover the rich culture and history all over Italy.

Over 15 days, you'll hop between Italy's finest cities, starting in the infamous Rome. Along the way, you'll stay in traditional yet modern hotels that offer the finest Italian hospitality while enjoying the balance of city tours and lots of free time to get lost in the winding streets.

From Rome, you'll make your way through central and northern Italy, finishing with the spectacular Venice before making your way south. Your two-week Italian itinerary will be finished in the best way possible - exploring the stunning Cinque Terre!

Today, you'll join a shared guided tour of one of the iconic landmarks of Rome, the Colosseum. Then, you'll visit the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. After the tour, you'll have free time to discover the Pantheon, a remarkable building dating back almost 2,000 years. Its architecture is striking in design, proportions and elegance and stands testimony to the mighty Roman Empire. Go on to the most visited square in Rome, Piazza di Spagna, at the bottom of the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain.

Shared guided tour of Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Basilica. You'll then head to the Sistine Chapel to lay eyes on the famous ceiling completed by Michelangelo in 1512. Villa Borghese combines nature and Roman art, home to architectural elements, sculptures, monuments and fountains created at different times by famous artists. The Galleria Borghese Museum houses a large collection by Caravaggio, Raphael, Titian, and Correggio. In the afternoon, you'll learn how to make pizza!

After check-in, a private guide will lead you through the history of the city: Naples is famous for pizza, football, and for Spaccanapoli - the street that cuts the historical centre in two halves. Around this red line, many important monuments were built, the Monastery of Santa Chiara, the Chapel of San Severo where the Cristo Velato is kept and the Church of Gesù Nuovo. Walking up and down the streets that cross the historical centre is like reading the history of the city.

With your private driver, you go to Mt Vesuvius and Pompeii before coming back to Naples. With its 1281m altitude, Mount Vesuvius dominates the Gulf of Naples. The climb of the crater will take you to the edges. The last eruption here was in 1944. Visit the Pompeii Archeology Park, which dates back over 2,000 years. The city dominated the valley around the Sarno River and was home to a population of Etruscans, Greeks and other Italic people.

With a small group and skip the line tickets, you'll go on a guided tour of these two main monuments. Hear the turbulent history of the Doge's Palace, built in the 15th century. The masterpiece of Byzantine art is St Mark's Basilica, a witness of the powerful and rich city of Venice. Then visit the Jewish Ghetto. During the Republic of Venice, people of Jewish culture were obliged to live in this neighbourhood. The English word "ghetto" derives from this Jewish ghetto, the oldest in the world!

By Vaporetto visit Murano, to discover the long and thriving tradition dating back to 1291 of glass blowing, soak into the unique atmosphere of the colourful streets and pastel-coloured houses of Burano. Finish in Torcello, the centre of the first Venetian civilisation founded between the 5th and 6th centuries. Then to Sestiere of Castello: the district includes luxury hotels on the waterfront promenade facing St. Mark's Basin, the old Arsenale shipyards and the residential area of Sant' Elena.

You take a train to Vernazza and start your walk along the coast to Corniglia. Enjoy a cool drink in the village then up to the hilltop village of Volastra. Take the superb route overlooking the sea and crossing the vineyards to Manarola, the smallest village in the Cinque Terre, and wedged between the Ligurian Sea and the mountains. There is a shortstop in the village then to the hilltop village of Volastra. There is a possibility to swim and explore the alleys.
