This 5-day tour covers some of the most popular and interesting Bulgaria highlights.
Upon your arrival in Sofia, you will head straight for the ancient city of Plovdiv where you will spend a day exploring the city and seeking out the attractions that you find most inspiring. Arrive in Sofia and meet your guide who will transfer you to Plovdiv to check-in to your accommodation. The rest of your day is free for you to enjoy, you may wish to head out and explore Plovdiv.

The city of Plovdiv is where history and culture mix to reveal the glory of the town over the centuries. Here, you can see Roman and Byzantine fortress walls, the Roman theatre and the symmetric smooth pavement streets, the remains of the Roman Forum and the aqueduct, and the churches of St. Constantine and Helena, St. Marina, St. Nedelia, and St. Bogoroditza. In the evening, you'll be transferred to Sofia.

Day Trip to Veliko Tarnovo

Today you will travel out of Sofia to one of Bulgaria's great highlights! Sofia is one of Bulgaria's most picturesque cities, Veliko Tarnovo, the historical capital of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom. You will go on a guided tour of the city, its top attractions and the neighbouring museum village of Arbanassi. In the afternoon, you will transfer back to Sofia.
