Within reaching distance of Mount Fuji and all the activities that are on offer around here, using Tokyo as a base, you can see so much of what Japan has to offer.

In five action-packed days, you'll see the city of Tokyo and all that surrounds it. Visit numerous tranquil temples in Kamakura, hop between the five peaceful lakes of Mount Fuji; get in touch with nature in Nikko and have one last glimpse of Mount Fuji in Hakone.

While you'll be kept on your toes with a full itinerary, you'll still find time to do your own thing with this flexible itinerary.

Day 1

Welcome to Tokyo!

Welcome to Tokyo!

Launch into your trip with a tour of the city, starting at the largest fish market in the world. Then, jump in your private car to visit Nakamise Street and the stunning Senso-ji Temple. On the way to Shinjuku, you'll go past Akihabara, Nihonbashi and Ginza before you get to the Takashimaya shopping mall where you'll have lunch and walk through Golden Gai. Finish the day in Harajuku, where you'll visit the Meiji Shrine before going back to your hotel.

Day 2

Explore Kamakura

Explore Kamakura

You'll be picked up at the hotel and driven to Kamakura to start your tour at the Kotokuin Temple where you will explore before moving onto the Hasadera Temple and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. You'll have lunch along the way, and have time to explore the souvenir shops before moving onto your final location for the day, Hokoku-ji Temple, known for its bamboo groves. You'll be returned to Shinjuku by 4 pm and have time to explore a little more if you wish.

Day 3

Discover Mount Fuji's Five Lakes

Discover Mount Fuji's Five Lakes

Start your trip at the iconic Lake Kawaguchi, a prime photo stop on this tour with the Mount Fuji ropeway to reach the viewpoint. Then, you'll visit the nearby Oishi Park for a walk among the flowers before going to Lake Saiko and Lake Shojiko. You'll finish your Mount Fuji trip at the spectacular Lake Motosuko for the most impressive view of Mount Fuji across the lake and hidden by the trees. You'll visit the Fuji Sengen Shrine for one last glimpse of the volcano before heading back to Tokyo.

Day 4

Nikko Tour

Nikko Tour

Leave for Nikko, a UNESCO World Heritage Site all by itself. You'll visit the Toshogu Shrine before driving along the Irohazaka Slope to the national park. You'll stop for lunch before exploring the many sites that the national park holds including Ryuzu waterfall, Lake Chuzenji, and Italian Embassy Villa. You are free to explore as little or as much as you wish in your time in the national park. You'll arrive back in Tokyo at 5 pm this evening.

Day 5

Hakone Area & Departure

Hakone Area & Departure

Depart for Hakone but not before visiting Hatajuku village and the ancient highway that was popular for travellers between Kyoto and Tokyo. You'll have the option of stopping in an ancient tea house before arriving at Lake Ashinoko looking over Mount Fuji. Ascend on a ropeway to Owakudani to observe the volcanic activities here before lunch. Finish the day at the beautiful Hakone Shrine and then make your way back to Tokyo in your private vehicle.
