This wonderful trip combines culture and beach time in Cambodia. Enjoy a trip to the incredible Angkor complex, undoubtedly the most famous religious complex in the world. See the floating villages on Tonle Sap and get a better understanding for local life, paddling around the floating markets, stilted houses, fish farms, and rice paddies.

Visit Phnom Penh, the capital of the country, we will go to the Art Deco Central Market to see the countless stalls selling all kinds of goods. Spend the last few days of your 1 week in Cambodia on a beach getaway in Sihanoukville. Relax on the sandy shore and take a dip in the warm water or opt to go on a snorkelling trip.

Day 1

Arriving at the airport, you will be welcomed by your tour guide in Siem Reap. The first stop of your wonderful 1 week in Cambodia will be at West Baray big pond - a “baray” is a water reservoir built by the ancient Khmer people. This is followed by a visit to Pre Rup temple for a stunning sunset view. In the evening we have a traditional welcome dinner with Apsara, the traditional Khmer performance, which is not merely dance but tells an interesting story.

After breakfast at the hotel, we begin our full day of sightseeing at the South Gate of Angkor Thom. Known as Big Angkor, Angkor Thom was the longest-lasting capital of the ancient Khmer Empire. In the afternoon visit Angkor Wat, the most well-preserved temple in Angkor and most famous religious complex in the world.

Day 3

The Killing Fields and Tonle Sap

After filling up on breakfast at the hotel, this morning takes us to Wat Thmei (Killing Field) where you can see a unique glass-walled stupa containing the bones of victims of the Khmer Rouge. In the afternoon, we visit the unique floating villages in Tonle Sap - the "Great Lake" of Cambodia where we get to see villagers living by the lake. Finish at Wat Bo and the Old Market, also known as Psah Chas, where you can see local people selling their wares.

Today you are free to explore the surrounding area in the morning before heading to the airport to catch a flight to Phnom Penh. Phnom Penh retains its traditional Khmer and colonial-style architecture with French villas and large tree-lined sidewalks. Upon arrival, have lunch and check in to your hotel. In the afternoon you will visit the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda, the Independence Monument, Hill Phnom Daun Penh and the Central Market.

In the morning, we visit the Tuol Sleng prison which is now the Genocide Museum, revealing the most secret part of the Khmer Rouge regime. Leaving behind the relics of the horrific history of Cambodia, we will have lunch before going shopping around the Russian market. Enjoy the bustling daily activities of the locals before heading to Sihanoukville, which is stretched 10km along white sandy beaches with dozens of small islands dotted around.

Day 6

Sihanoukville Boat Trip

In the morning, we will take a boat trip to explore the beauty of the many islands off-shore from Sihanoukville. We disembark to Koh Russei, also called Bamboo Island for a short hike through the forest in the island as well as have leisure time at the fine beach in the north of the island, which is still pristine and lined with Casuarina trees. Activities here include snorkelling, swimming or just relaxing while sunbathing. Late afternoon we return to Sihanoukville.
