After breakfast at your hotel, you will embark on a tour of the city of Mariana this morning. This was the first capital of Minas Gerais. Founded in 1711, it hosts some of the finest architectural works of artist Francisco Lisboa, the famous Aleijadinho. After lunch at Chafariz restaurant, you will be able to stroll around the historical centre of Ouro Preto, visiting some of the major landmarks found here such as the Sao Francisco de Assis Church or the Inconfidencia Museum.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Brumadinho to visit the Inhotim Art Institute and Botanical Garden. With nine galleries and several installations by renowned Brazilian and international artists, Inhotim sprawls over 140,00 acres of preserved native forest and gardens designed according to the guidelines of Burle Marx. Inhotim offers two types of thematic tours: one focused on botanical and environmental aspects, and the other on art. Afterwards, head back to Brumadinho.

This morning you will be transferred to Belo Horizonte airport in time to catch a short one-hour flight to Salvador. After checking in to your new hotel in Salvador, in the afternoon you will go on a tour of Salvador's historic centre, Pelourinho. Visit one of the country's most important cathedrals, church Sao Francisco, which boasts an exuberant gold-leafed Baroque interior. You will also go to the Mercado Modelo, a thriving market for local artefacts and souvenirs.

After breakfast, you will head towards Praia do Forte, a charming fishing village 80 kilometres north of Salvador and home to some of the best beaches in Bahia. On the way there you will have a panoramic view of the northern coastline. After lunch, you will visit the headquarters of the TAMAR Project, a national sea turtle preservation centre that will give you a chance to see these magnificent creatures from up close.

This morning you will have breakfast at your hotel and check-out before being transferred to the airport in Salvador. Catch a short flight to Lençóis, where you will be spending the last few days of your trip to Brazil. In the afternoon you will take a short walk to Serrano for a bath in the natural hot springs, followed by a hike in the Lençóis area where you will come across a stunning complex of caves and waterfalls.

After breakfast this morning, you will make the journey to Remanso in a 4x4 vehicle, a village of slave descendants founded in 1948. Take a scenic rowboat ride down Santo Antonio river, leaving the village of Remanso and crossing Marimbus. This area is known as Chapada's marshlands and is the natural habitat of many water birds and fish. After, you will walk for 45 minutes to Roncador River's natural whirlpools, where you will stop for a picnic and a dip in the pools.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to Gruta Torrinha, where you will spend 2 hours exploring this spectacular cave complete with stalactites, stalagmites and other speleothems. Then, hike up to Pai Inacio Hill, to see some incredible views over Chapada Diamantina National Park. After lunch, you will go for a visit to Mucugezinho River to enjoy some swimming and outdoor activities in the Devil's Well waterfall. After a day of adventure, you will go back to Lençóis.

Enjoy one last adventurous day in Lençóis today! In the morning you will be transferred by car to Vale do Capao, a journey that takes around two hours. Here you will partake in a hike to the top of Cachoeira da Fumaça, known as one of the highest waterfalls in Brazil 340 metres. After a picnic, you will go on to visit the Riachinho waterfall where you can swim while looking out to the beautiful view of the Capāo Valley.
