This morning, you'll learn all about the story of aviation in WW1 and WW2 at the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre in Blenheim. You'll then spend the rest of the day enjoying the Marlborough sounds, including long sheltered inlets, clear waters and sandy bays. Today, you'll leave Picton behind and meander along the gorgeous Pacific Coast by rail to Christchurch. With the Pacific Ocean lapping at its wheels and the Kaikoura ranges rising majestically above, the Coastal Pacific is undoubtedly one of the world's most picturesque train journeys. You'll be able to savour each moment with the Scenic Plus experience, enjoying local delicacies, regional wines and captivating commentary. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel.

This morning, you'll visit the home of the celebrated leader of the women’s suffrage movement, Kate Sheppard. Afterwards, you'll have the opportunity to go Punting on the Avon, a classic, must-do activity whilst in Christchurch to see the city from a different perspective. In the afternoon, you'll drive south to the beautiful harbour town of Akaroa to embark on an award-winning cruise to spot the rare Hector’s Dolphin, as well as penguins and other sea birds.

Today, you'll leave Christchurch behind and travel to your next destination in the Mount Cook National Park, Lake Pukaki. On the way, you'll stop to explore Lake Tekapo and visit the Church of the Good Shepherd on the shores of the lake. Lake Tekapo is the remarkable turquoise coloured lake set against the mountainous drama of the Southern Alps. On the shores of the lake, you'll see the beautiful Church of the Good Shepherd, before you continue to your lodge.

This morning, you'll embark the flight of a lifetime, the Grand Traverse is a spectacular scenic flight that explores the Mount Cook and Westland National Parks and shows you the region like no other flight. You'll sit back and enjoy New Zealand’s most memorable and breathtaking scenery. The rest of the day will be dedicated to exploring the Aoraki Mount Cook National Park, visiting Hooker Valley and the Clay Cliffs of Waitaki with your driver and guide.

Today, you'll head about to Lanarch Castle, via Oamaru and the Moeraki Boulders. Oamaru, the largest town of the Waitaki District, has a rich history and boasts the country’s oldest public gardens, renowned Victorian architecture and two penguin colonies. After exploring Oamaru, you'll stop for a stroll on the beach to see the Moeraki Boulders. Then, you'll head to the award-winning Fleurs Place for a delicious seafood lunch before continuing on to Lanarch Castle.

Today, you'll explore this wild region of New Zealand. Surrounded by dramatic hills and at the foot of a long, picturesque harbour, Dunedin is one of the best-preserved Victorian and Edwardian cities in the Southern Hemisphere. Flanking the southern edge of Dunedin's extensive harbour, Otago Peninsula is high and rugged on the ocean side; warm and sheltered on the harbour side. You'll have the opportunity to explore these areas with your guide and enjoy a blue penguin tour at dusk!

You'll begin your day with an early morning hike to Nugget Point Lighthouse, an iconic panoramic platform on the Catlins coast with one of the country’s oldest lighthouses perched above the famous rocks named by Captain Cook because they looked like pieces of gold. You'll then journey to Curio Bay crossing through The Catlins, a wooded, wild coastal corner of the South Island. After checking into your lodge, you'll have the afternoon free to explore Curio Bay.
