This morning after breakfast, you'll meet your local guide and enjoy a relaxing walk through the most characteristic and important regions of Venice on this tour, which includes a visit to and tour of Doge's Palace. You'll begin in Piazza San Marco where you'll admire the remarkable 9th-century St Mark's Basilica. You'll then move on to Doge's Palace where you'll observe how, with much reconstruction, the design of the palace has changed from Byzantine-Venetian Gothic style to Renaissance style.

You will be picked up at your hotel in Venice and transported to Venice train station, where you will take the train to Florence. Once in Florence, another private transfer will take you to your hotel. After checking in, you'll have the rest of the day free to explore the city known as the 'Cradle of Renaissance'. Today, you'll take a walk through the ages of the charming city of Florence with an expert local guide on this special tour, which includes entry to the Accademia Gallery home to Michaelangelo's 'David'.
