At 6:30 am, the cruise vessel sets off for a sunrise cruise. Watch the locals go about their daily work drying exotic fruits and building ships on the wooden yards while enjoying an early breakfast. You'll cruise towards the Island of Cu Lao Gieng. Located between Chau Doc and Sa Dec on the small island of Cu Lao Gieng, the monastery here was once an important convent. In the afternoon, you'll cruise towards the charming city of Sa Dec. The day ends with a delicious dinner onboard.

After breakfast, you'll enjoy a rowing boat excursion through the hidden small canals of Tan Phong Islet on a sampan. You'll visit some of the local candy or rice cake making productions or take a boat to see local villages, orchards or rice paddies. Then, you'll explore the small side canals of the Mekong on a bicycle. You can disembark for a guided leisurely stroll through a village and the surrounding fruit orchards or rice fields, meet the locals and taste the local produce and fruits.

Wake up well rested to the sound of the river and get ready for another exciting day of sightseeing in the Mekong Delta. After breakfast, you will board a sampan boat to the famous Cai Rang floating market, the region’s busiest and most lively markets. You will pull up to the boats to talk and bargain with the merchants. The Mekong Delta cruise ends at around 11 am on the pier. From there, you will drive to Ho Chi Minh and arrive in the late afternoon.

In the morning, you'll head outside of Ho Chi Minh City to visit the incredible Cu Chi Tunnels. An underground labyrinth of passageways used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War and tunnels are iconic in the south. Then, you'll continue to Cao Dai Great Temple: a mixture of Asian and European architectures, the temple represents a fusion of the best of Taoism, Buddhism, Confucianism and Islam. Visitors are welcomed inside the temple to observe the colourful service at midday.

Today, you'll enjoy a tour of the Reunification Palace, the former presidential palace this is now preserved as a museum, before continuing to the 19th century Notre-Dame cathedral, the beautiful Central Post Office; both fine examples of classical French colonial architecture. In the afternoon after a local lunch, you'll visit the War Remnants Museum and the bustling Ben Thanh Market to go shopping and to eat some local food.

After breakfast at the hotel, the rest of the day will be free for you to spend as you wish in the vibrant city of Saigon. There is plenty to see, do and eat in this city but one of the best activities is to simply grab a cafe sua da (Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk) at a streetside cafe on a plastic chair and watch the locals go about their day. In the evening, you'll take an overnight train to Da Nang arriving the next morning.

Today your central and south Vietnam itinerary continues. Upon arriving at Da Nang railway station, your driver will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Hoi An which will take around 45 minutes. In the afternoon, you can take part in the optional tours or just relax and discover Hoi An Town on your own, visiting the ancient town, the beautiful beaches and strolling through rice paddies. There is plenty to see and do to keep you entertained in the little yellow town of Hoi An!

After breakfast, you'll head out of Hoi An to visit My Son, once the spiritual capital of Champa Kingdom that dominated Vietnam for nearly a thousand years and occupied most of the central parts of Vietnam from 2nd century to 16th century. In the afternoon, you'll drive back to Hoi An and visit a former merchants' home, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Pagoda and the colourful riverside market.

After breakfast, you'll meet your guide and driver then transfer from Hoi An to Hue. You'll stop on the way to admire the stunning natural landscape of the famous Hai Van Pass and its surrounding roads. You'll arrive at your wellness resort in Hue in the afternoon, check-in and spend your day to relax and enjoy your retreat among the beautiful nature.
