Located on the south bank of the Hau River, a distributary of the Mekong River, Can Tho is famous for its floating markets, where people sell and buy things on the river. Cai Rang, the biggest floating market is just 6km from Can Tho. This is a wholesale market, so look at what's tied to the long pole above the boat to figure out what they're selling to smaller traders.

Around 70 kilometres northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, Cu Chi Tunnel is right near the so-called "Iron Triangle" of Southern Vietnam. This underground complex is a must-see when you are in Ho Chi Minh City. You are invited to crawl around in the safer parts of the tunnel system or try a shooting range where you can fire a number of assault rifles, such as the M16 rifle or AK-47, as well as a light machine gun like the M60.
