Head to Merzouga on a desert tour from Fes. You'll travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains taking in some incredible landscapes on the way. You'll pass through the village of Ifrane, which was established by the French in 1930, and the cedar forest which is a great place to see monkeys and some incredible views. In Midelt, you'll stop for lunch before reaching the Ziz Valley known for its palm groves and fascinating gorges. Upon arrival in Merzouga, you'll check into your hotel.

Rissani Excursion & Desert Adventure with Camel Trekking

After breakfast, you'll enjoy an excursion to Rissani to see the Kasbah, old palaces, Zawiya Moulay Ali Ash-Sharif, and Khamlia village which is famous for the Gnawa people. There will be a lunch stop in which it is highly recommended that you try a delicious traditional meal known as the Moroccan pizza. After lunch, you'll once again head into the desert. You will make your way to your overnight desert camp by camel, so prepare for a memorable camel trek.

Sunrise in the Desert & Journey Back to Fes

Today, you'll wake up early to watch the sunrise before making your way back to Fes, passing through dramatic Ziz Valley and Saad el Hassan el Awal. There will be a lunch stop in Imouzzar, which is a well known Berber village. You'll have plenty of time to explore the village, it's a fascinating place that provides a glimpse into a completely different life. Finally, you'll complete your journey to Fes. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at the hotel or riad of your choice.
