After a short visit to a traditional Navajo trading post, continue along the Colorado River through the Painted Desert, taking in more of the Southwest’s dramatic scenery. Arrive at Monument Valley, one of the most iconic landscapes in the U.S. and a backdrop for countless western films. Enjoy a guided 4x4 Jeep tour led by a Navajo guide, included in your trip. In the afternoon, travel to Page, Arizona, near Lake Powell, for your overnight stop.

Day 3

Start the morning with visits to Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon, followed by a photo stop at Lake Powell. Then head to Zion National Park, where the Virgin River has carved towering white, pink, and red Navajo sandstone cliffs. Ancient petrified sand dunes rise 2,000 feet above the canyon floor, making this a photographer’s dream. Zion offers hikes and walks for all fitness levels—from a hike to Emerald Pools to easy strolls around the valley or along the Pa’rus Trail. Take in views of the Great White Throne and Weeping Rock, and visit the Human History Museum for an engaging ranger talk.
