Itinerary
Day 1
A Full-Day Journey to Merzouga

After breakfast, you will leave Fes travelling towards Merzouga. On this journey, you’ll catch glimpses of the Mid-Atlas and High Atlas mountains and stop at Azrou and Midelt for lunch. Travel through the spectacular Ziz Gorge, taking in views of the High Atlas plateau and see how the landscape changes as we edge closer to the desert. Arriving in Merzouga, you’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea. Then take a camel ride on the dunes of Sahara to reach your Sahara desert camp.

Merzouga through the Desert to Dades Valley

Your guide will wake you up early morning in your Sahara desert camp to watch what may be the best sunrise of your life. You’ll camel-trek back to Merzouga. Enroute, appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast and a hot shower, you’ll leave for the Todgha gorges. After lunch, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and rock formations known as Monkey Toes.

Dades to Marrakesh via Ouarzazate
Hide details
Travel through the Dades Valley towards Ouarzazate and on to Marrakesh on 'the way of the thousand Kasbahs'. You will stop at Kalaat M’Gouna; the rose valley, where you can visit a cooperative to buy rosewater. Continue to Ait Benhaddou, built by Et Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains in the 19th century. Continue through the majestic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, where you have the opportunity to learn about the Argan oil from Berber women in their cooperative before arriving in Marrakesh.
