One of the many great things about the Sunshine Coast is its proximity to Queensland’s capital city, Brisbane. It’s the weekend playground for city slickers, who can literally duck up the road, greeted by views of the Glass House Mountains, head north along the Bruce Highway and take the appropriately named Steve Irwin Way to Australia Zoo – home of the Crocodile Hunter.

Today, you'll drive through the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Mountain Range including Maleny, Mapleton and Montville, and enjoy charming and elegant shops, cafes and award-winning restaurants with postcard-perfect views. You'll enjoy an amazing lunch in Montville, overlooking the beautiful Glass House Mountains, and keep an eye out for the magnificent wildlife including kangaroos and koalas. Finally, you'll take a short drive to the beautiful Mapleton Falls or sample wine at a local winery
