Overview
From your base in central Edinburgh, you will experience the most famous attractions this city has to offer - it's magical! Make your way around this lively city with ease using the famous hop-on-hop-off sightseeing bus.
You'll then spend a day exploring some of the most dramatic and stunning views of the Lowlands as you head towards the Scottish Borders and Northumbria on a day tour from Edinburgh.
You'll explore the stunning Northumberland Coast and the border between England and Scotland where vibrant green rolling hills hug the coast. Venturing further south into England, make a stop at Alnwick Castle, known to many as the setting for the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and Downtown Abbey, a famous British TV show.

Welcome to Edinburgh! You will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel in the city centre. The rest of the day is yours to explore the city at your leisure. You may want to head into New Town, the commercial and financial centre of the city which faces onto the castle. The entire area is scattered with Gothic structures, Neo-Classical buildings, beautiful squares and some of the best shopping in Scotland spread through its wide open streets.

After breakfast at the hotel, you'll get ready for a day of sightseeing around this wonderful city. Use the hop-on-hop-off bus system to work your way around this beautiful city. During the tour, you can get off the bus whenever you like to explore various attractions such as Edinburgh's Grassmarket, the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle or the famed Princes or George Street. There is so much to see and do in Edinburgh, your day will be filled with activities.

Group Tour Day Tour From Edinburgh to Alnwick Castle

After breakfast, you'll make your own way to the meeting point for your group tour. On the full-day tour from Edinburgh, you will visit historical sites, quaint towns and the famous Alnwick Castle, better known by many as the setting for Hogwarts and Downtown Abbey. Even if you're not much of a Harry Potter fan, you'll be blown away by these historical sites, landscapes and wonderful views. You will return to Edinburgh in the early evening.
