Overview
The capital of Scotland since the 15th century, Edinburgh stands on seven hills creating the dramatic skyline of this lively cosmopolitan city.
You will be based in the city for this four-day getaway. The trip will start with a short but sweet city tour, allowing you to take in some of the famous attractions. Depending on your departure time on the last day, you'll be able to head back and visit your favourites on your own.
During this trip you'll visit both the Highlands and Lowlands of Scotland, you'll embark on a full-day tour to Hadrians Wall in the Scottish Borders. This is one of the many remarkable remnants of Roman influence on the area; the region is beautiful and well worth a visit.
You'll then spend a day exploring the famous Highlands and some of its beloved attractions. You'll visit Cairngorms National Park, the famous Loch Ness and the broodingly beautiful Glencoe, famous former battlegrounds between clans and the English.

Arrival in Edinburgh

Welcome to Edinburgh! You will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel in the city centre. You'll have some time to relax at the hotel before joining an audio tour around the city in the afternoon covering many of the cities top attractions such as Princes Street, Grassmarket, Old Town, New Town and many more. Your evening is free so you can continue your exploration of the city at your leisure. Recommendations for where to eat and what to see will be provided.

Day 2
Day Tour to Hadrian's Wall, Roman Britain and the Borders

Get ready for a day of sightseeing outside of Edinburgh. You'll make your way to the departure point and then head off for a full-day group trip to Hadrian's Wall, Roman Britain and the Scottish Borders. This will be a scenic and educational tour as you will learn a lot about Rome’s influence on Tribal Britain and how it shaped the surrounding landscapes and cultures. You'll return to Edinburgh in the evening where you'll have the rest of the night free.

Day 3
Loch Ness, Glencoe and the Highlands

No trip to Scotland would be complete with a tour around the Highlands and the famous Loch Ness. Today, you will do just that. After breakfast, you'll depart on a full-day group tour to Loch Ness, Glencoe and the Highlands. You'll come across fascinating historical sites, incredible scenery and wonderful cultural experiences. You'll arrive back in Edinburgh at around dinner time, so be ready for a long, but memorable day!
