Explore the Bulgarian capital, which is the second oldest city in Europe.
Sofia holds a lot of history and culture that influence the people and this unique city life. You will have one day to explore Rila Monastery, the biggest and the most visited monastery in Bulgaria to tap into the fascinating history behind it; the centre of the cultural and spiritual life for the Bulgarian people, during the centuries of foreign enslavement.
The last day of your short but sweet tour will take you to the church and cathedrals of the city while your guide gives you a little more of an insight into life in Sofia.

All Day Sofia Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast, depart for Boyana Church on the outskirts of the city where you will have a guided tour. In the afternoon, you will have guided city tour of Sofia. You can expect to see many of the amazing cathedrals and the Ivan Vazov National Theatre. Your guide will introduce you to the history of the city and culture of the people. Your evening is free for you to enjoy.

Day Trip to the Rila Monastery

After breakfast, you will be collected and transferred to the fabulous Rila Monastery. You will have time to explore the monastery itself as well as the main church and the museum. Rila Monastery has been considered the spiritual, cultural and literary centre of Bulgaria for centuries, your guide will walk you through each part to learn a little more about why. You will then have some free time for lunch before returning the Sofia in the afternoon.
