Overview
Over 5 days in Norway, you will travel from Bergen to the beautiful Hardangerfjord, which offers an abundance of nature-based activities.
Bergen, called the Gateway to the Fjords due to its close proximity to the Norwegian fjords, makes the perfect starting point for exploring the fjord region. During this trip, you'll embark on a fjord cruise on the Hardangerfjord to Ulvik, the heart of stunning fjord country dotted with farmsteads and surrounding hills.
The Folgefonna Glacier walk will be one of your greatest experiences on this trip. It requires no experience and is on flat areas, crevasses and includes some climbing with a beautiful view of the North Sea during your lunch break on the glacier.

Day 1
Arrive in Bergen & Free Time to Explore

Today, you'll arrive in Bergen. Bergen is Norway’s second-largest city and the world’s only city surrounded by seven mountains and seven fjords. The main attractions in Bergen include the Hanseatic Bryggen Harbour, Fløibanen Funicular, Troldhaugen, the Fish and Flower Market, Bergen Aquarium and Gamle Bergen (Old Bergen Open Air Museum) - all of which you can visit today. You can also take part in a segway tour, a fjord cruise with a seafood dinner or a nighttime segway tour.

Day 2
Bus and Boat to Folgefonna Glacier

After breakfast at the hotel, you'll begin your 1.5-hour bus trip to Norheimsund, then you'll take a boat and bus to Folgefonna ski centre. Folgefonna is Norway’s third-largest glacier at 1,250 metres above sea level with beautiful views of the coast, mountains, the Marstein lighthouse, the North Sea and stunning views over the Hardangervidda area. From the ski centre, you'll take a 4-6 hour guided glacier walk. You'll then travel by bus and boat to Norheimsund.

Day 3
Travel to Ulvik & Free Time

Following breakfast at the hotel, you'll embark on a cruise to Ulvik, a beautiful fjord village at the shores of the Hardangerfjord. Upon arrival, the rest of the day is at your own leisure. You can go for a swim in the fjord or take a long walk or hike in the surrounding mountains and forests. The B-Active centre at the Strand Fjordhotel offers different activities as well as bike rental (some included for guests of the Strand Fjordhotel).

Day 4
Kayak Tour & Back to Bergen

After breakfast at the hotel, you'll head out on a 3.5-hour guided educational kayak tour from Ulvik on the fjord. Not only will you enjoy the fun and sporty kayaking experience, but you will also get to learn some basic skills for surviving in nature in Norway. After the tour, you'll have some free time to get some lunch before taking the bus to Voss in the afternoon. From there, you'll return to Bergen by train. You'll arrive in Bergen in the late afternoon/early evening.
