After receiving you at Paro airport, our guide and driver will take you to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. You will visit to the historical and cultural site of Tashicho Dzong. Later, visit the arts and crafts village and take a stroll in the market.

Day 2

Thimphu Sightseeing

Visit various sites of historical, traditional and natural interest to learn more about Thimphu and life in Bhutan. The National Library, Folk Heritage Museum will teach you a little more about Bhutanese culture. Visiting the Royal Takin Preserve, you'll meet Bhutan's national animal. Finishing the day at the Memorial Chorten, Changangkha Lhakhang and Buddha Point introduce you to religion in the country and the largest Buddha Statue of Bhutan.

Day 3

Thimphu to Punakha

After breakfast embark on an adventurous journey to Punakha, where history was created and re-enacted. En-route visit Dochula Pass to view the Himalaya mountain range. A little further down, you will stop to visit Royal Botanical Park where you'll have lunch. After arriving in Punakha, you'll go on a short sightseeing tour of the town, including a nunnery.

Punakha to Paro

After breakfast, visit the Punakha Dzong, a beautiful dzong in Bhutan founded by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel. En-route, pay a visit to Chimi Lhakhang, the fertility temple that may surprise you with its architectural design. We shall pass through Thimphu again and arrive in Paro in the afternoon. You'll be free to walk around late afternoon and into the evening before dinner.
