Day 1

Arrival in Paro and Go to Thimphu

Your local tour guide will receive you at Paro airport and drive you to a local restaurant. After freshening up, you will be taken for an orientation tour of Paro. From Nimizampa traditional bridge, you will take a ten-minute hike to the majestic Paro Dzong with time to explore the main temple inside. Afterwards, visit the oldest Kichu temple, built in the seventh century. After lunch drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.

Thimphu is the capital city of Bhutan and the most happening place in the country. Following breakfast in the hotel, visit the Jungshi paper factory, the Memorial Stupa, the site of the tallest Lord Buddha statue, Kuenselphodrang and Institute of Traditional Art. After lunch, visit the historic Changangkha temple, the Takin reserve, Sangaygang viewpoint and weekend local market. In the evening visit the impressive Tashichho Dzong, office of the king of Bhutan and monastic residence.

After an early breakfast venture on a four-hour drive excursion to Haa valley in the westernmost corner of Bhutan. Haa is a small yet fascinating place with a rich historical and cultural past. The drive will cut through the scenic hilly landscape, rural settlements and dense mix forest of pine and oak trees. While in Haa, visit the prominent Lhakhang Karpo and Nagpo followed by picnic lunch at a scenic spot. After lunch, enjoy your drive to Paro via Chele La Mountain Pass.

Day 4

Tiger's Nest Hike

Today, you will visit the iconic Tiger's Nest, clinging on a vertical rocky cliff, 1000 metres above the valley. Following an early breakfast in the hotel, you will take a short drive to the base of Taktshang. From the base point, start hiking on a prominent trail leading through pine forest all the way up to Tiger's Nest. At the midway cafeteria, you will be treated hot tea and coffee. Once inside the temple, you will be mesmerised by the wonders of this 8th-century landmark.

Concluding your 5 day Bhutan tour, you will venture on morning photography exploration of magical Paro Valley at the pinnacle of this golden hour moment. First, you will be driven to the viewpoint above Ringpung Dzong at dawn and start framing the aerial view of Paro Valley at the onset of dawn. Then you will be driven to the foreground of Gangtey Palace to capture the scenic view of Paro Rinpung Dzong amidst terraced rice field in the foreground. After breakfast, leave for the airport.
