Overview
Fernando de Noronha is a dream place, or better put, a dream island! It is a place where verdant mountains descend to sheer cliffs, which in turn fall into wide untouched sandy beaches, and where colourful fish, lemon sharks and manta rays live beneath the waves.
From the 17th to the 20th century this 21-island archipelago served as a political prison. It was not until 1988, when much of the island was incorporated into a new marine park, that Fernando de Noronha met its destiny as a sought-after tropical paradise.
Nowadays the archipelago is known for being one of the best diving spots in Brazil, as well as a hot spot for surfing. On this trip, you will spend 5 wonderful days exploring the island's gorgeous coastline, partake in a number of exciting outdoor activities and lounge about on the pristine beaches.

Welcome to Fernando de Noronha!

Arrive at Fernando de Noronha Airport, where you will be greeted by a driver and transferred to your pousada where you will be staying the next few days. Fernando de Noronha is a stunning volcanic archipelago just off of Brazil's northeast coast. Its largest island boasts of a protected national marine park, a coastline with gorgeous undeveloped beaches and a multitude of diverse ecosystems.

Full-Day Island Tour

After breakfast at your pousada, you will embark on a full-day tour exploring the beauty of this unique island. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, you will discover some of Fernando de Noronha's most pristine beaches, the historic centre and the harbour as well as some of the inland hiking trails. The island provides the opportunity for many spectacular photos and you will also get the chance to swim in the crystal clear waters that surround it.

Day 3
Immerse Yourself in Nature

You have the next two days to explore the natural landscapes and adventure wonderland that is Fernando de Noronha. There is plenty to do on this island for all types of travellers. If you want to spend time admiring volcanic rock formations, head north to Praia da Biboca. Whilst not ideal for swimming, it is an excellent place to witness dramatic cliff and the remains of the Fortaleza dos Remédios fort. Don't miss out on the beaches either: watching sunset from Boldro Beach is a must-do.

Dive in Headfirst to Azure Waters

Fernando de Noronha is renowned for its water-related activities and is especially ideal for outdoor lovers. An excellent way to get around this tropical island is hiring a buggy and exploring its incredible beaches at your leisure. There is some of the best diving in the world to be found here, as well as surfing, swimming and even snorkelling with turtles. You can also take a boat ride to some of the nearby islands - if you're lucky a school of dolphins might join you on the adventure!
