Experience the serenity of highland Sri Lanka with five days in countryside bliss!

You'll begin the trip at the stunning Bentota Beach, a very popular place for water sports. Moving on, you'll have the chance to relax at the British colonial town of Nuwara Eliya and drink the tea that is considered to be the best in the world.

To satisfy the adventurer in everyone, you'll then take a trek through Horton Plains National Park to World's End for a rewarding encounter with nature.

For the final part of your trip, you'll arrive in the capital city of Colombo, where heritage is reflected in its architecture, mixing colonial buildings with high-rises and shopping malls.

Day 1

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Bentota where there are many water sports events taking place on the south coast. Once you arrive at your hotel, you'll have the rest of the day free to spend as you wish. You may just simply want to enjoy the evening at the beach or by the swimming pool - the choice is yours.

Day 2

Bentota to Nuwara Eliya

This morning, you will be going on a boat safari on the Madu River. Its estuary and the many mangrove islets on it constitute a complex coastal wetland ecosystem where you'll find lots of active wildlife. Then after lunch, you'll drive to your next destination, Nuwara Eliya, which is often referred to as 'Little England' for its the fascinatingly British landscape in the central highlands. You'll have the evening to relax, enjoy dinner and take a stroll around Gregory Lake.

Nuwara Eliya to Kandy

After breakfast, you'll continue onto the Horton Plains National Park to trek for three to four hours to the top of a cliff known as 'World's End'. The views from this cliff with a 4,000-foot drop are simply magnificent. Later on, you'll visit the beautiful Bakers Falls inside the park and then, you'll visit a tea factory where you'll taste a cup of the best tea in the world. In the evening, you'll enjoy dinner at your hotel in Kandy.

Kandy to Colombo

In the morning, you will be driven to the Temple of the Tooth. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. After lunch, you'll then hop in a transfer to the capital city of Colombo where you will get a chance to visit many landmarks in this commercial hub. In the evening, you can enjoy the Colombo nightlife from the rooftop bar at the hotel.

After breakfast, you'll be picked up ready for your transfer to the airport. Should your flight be at a later time, you'll be able to visit the Kelaniya Temple where Buddhists believe the temple to have been hallowed during the third and final Lord Buddha's visit to Sri Lanka, eight years after gaining enlightenment. Its history would thus go back to before 500 BCE.
