Embark on a journey through the wonderful landscapes of South Australia, visiting two iconic destinations - Adelaide and Kangaroo Island.
Once known as the ‘City of Churches’, Adelaide is today better recognised for its sophistication, charm and cosmopolitan feel. South Australia’s capital is a hub of festivals and art galleries; it enjoys a vibrant nightlife and live-music scene. You'll spend the first half of your trip exploring Adelaide and learning about its heritage as an aboriginal land as well as sampling its famous nightlife and world-class restaurant scene.
Before catching the ferry to Kangaroo Island, South Australia's own Galapagos, you'll discover the hidden gems that lie between Adelaide and Kangaroo Island. The road to Kangaroo Island is an unexpected delight – a genuine adventure embracing premium local food and wine, exhilarating off-road tracks through pristine national parks, wildlife sightings and more.
On Kangaroo Island, you'll become a wildlife-seeking enthusiast as you explore its reserves and national parks. Known for its eco-tourism, you'll find nothing but pristine beaches, conservation sights and beautiful landscapes on Kangaroo Island, as well, of course, the abundance of animal inhabitants.

Welcome to South Australia!

Upon arrival in Adelaide, you'll pick up your rental car and self drive to your hotel in the CBD. After settling into your hotel, you'll have the rest of the day free to spend as you wish. You may want to relax at your hotel and enjoy the facilities or perhaps head out to explore the city centre on your own. Once a sleepy city, Adelaide has revolutionised itself in the last few decades into a sophisticated, multicultural city with a world-class art, music and festival scene.

Day 2
Introduction to Adelaide & Its Landmarks

This morning, you will meet your guide for an introduction of Adelaide exploring the must-see attractions. Your first stop is the Central Market, a tempting array of tasty delights and tantalising aromas. You will then head to Rundle Mall, the heart of the city, full of street performers and sprinkled with unique sculptures. Finally, you will stroll along the meandering paths of the stunning Adelaide Botanic Garden discovering emblematic Australian plants, tropical rainforest and more.

Day 3
Scenic Journey from Adelaide to Cape Jervis

Today is all about experiencing what hidden gems lie between Adelaide and Kangaroo Island. The road to Kangaroo Island is an unexpected delight – a genuine adventure embracing premium local food and wine, exhilarating off-road tracks through pristine national parks, wildlife sightings, a delicious outdoor lunch and a sensational beach drive. You'll travel to Cape Jervis in time for the 6pm ferry to Kangaroo Island making an array of fun and exciting stops along the way.

Explore Kangaroo Island

Today, you'll explore the beautiful Kangaroo Island. You will be able to visit Seal Bay, the Flinders Chase National Park with Remarkable Rocks, Admiral Arch, Rocky River Visitor Centre, Heritage Koala Walk and Vivonne Bay. You will be able to observe a lot of wildlife including kangaroos, koalas, fur seals and some time the elusive echidna. Birds species are varied and abundant in Kangaroo Island and you will see some beautiful cockatoos like the Crimson Rosella and the Rainbow Lorikeet.

Goodbye South Australia!

Today, your lovely little trip through South Australia comes to an end. You will be transferred with the shuttle to Kingscote Airport for your flight back home. Different arrangements can be organised for your return trip, including the ferry back to Cape Jervis and the coach back to Adelaide if you prefer.
