Get ready to relive an unforgettable journey through the wild beauty and rich culture of Alaska! Your adventure began in Fairbanks, the heart of the Interior, where you explored local heritage at the Morris Thompson Cultural Center, stood beside the mighty Trans Alaska Pipeline, and even met Santa himself in the festive town of North Pole.

Next, you traveled south to the breathtaking landscapes of Denali National Park. There, you ventured deep into the wilderness on the Tundra Wilderness Tour, spotting incredible wildlife and soaking in views of Alaska’s untouched backcountry.

Then it was all aboard the world-famous Alaska Railroad for a scenic ride to Anchorage, with panoramic views of rivers, mountains, and possibly even Mt. McKinley. In Anchorage, you explored the city on a classic red trolley, visited Earthquake Park, watched floatplanes in action, and experienced the deep cultural traditions of Alaska’s Native peoples at the Heritage Center.

After breakfast, you'll be picked up from your hotel for a guided "Fairbanks Highlights" tour.

Visit the Morris Thompson Cultural Center to explore exhibits on Fairbanks and Interior Alaska, then stop at the Trans Alaska Pipeline to learn about its impressive engineering and the state’s oil industry. Continue to the University of Alaska’s Museum of the North, known for its striking architecture and unique exhibits. Wrap up the day with a visit to the festive Santa Claus House in North Pole, where you can meet Santa and his reindeer.

After breakfast, check out and board a comfortable motor coach for your journey south to Denali National Park, home to North America’s tallest peak, Denali (formerly Mount McKinley). Enjoy scenic views along the way as you travel through Alaska’s rugged wilderness and vast landscapes. After checking in, spend the afternoon exploring the area at your own pace.

Today, embark on the Tundra Wilderness Tour and travel deep into Denali National Park. This 6–8 hour narrated journey offers the chance to spot wildlife such as bears, moose, caribou, and Dall sheep, while learning about the park’s unique ecosystem. A snack will be provided on the bus.

Alaska Railroad Journey to Anchorage

After check-out, board the iconic Alaska Railroad for a scenic journey south to Anchorage. Settle into your comfortable seat and enjoy panoramic views from the train's large windows as you travel through some of Alaska’s most breathtaking landscapes. Keep your camera ready for glimpses of Mt. McKinley (Denali) on clear days, and watch for wildlife such as moose, eagles, and black bears—especially near the Susitna River.

The relaxing ride offers a unique perspective on Alaska’s wilderness, with narration highlighting key sights and history along the route. Upon arrival in Anchorage, you’ll transfer to your hotel to settle in for the evening.

Day 6

Hop aboard a red trolley in downtown Anchorage, departing from the Visitor Information Center. Trolleys run hourly, offering flexibility in your schedule. This one-hour tour covers 15 miles, passing through historic neighborhoods with live commentary from your guide.

See seaplanes land on Lake Hood and Lake Spenard, and visit Earthquake Park to learn about the 1964 earthquake. Then enjoy a visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center, where you’ll explore the rich cultures and traditions of Alaska’s Indigenous peoples.
