Overview
You will see the highlights of Mexico’s stunning Riviera Maya on this 7-day trip. You will begin and end your adventure in Cancun with stops in Chichen Itza, Tulum and Playa del Carmen for plenty of time to chill out on white-sandy beaches in the tropical sun by day and party until the early hours of the morning.
The surroundings of the Riviera Maya will bring you into a true Mexican paradise. A combination of Caribbean coastline and a hearty Mexican culture will offer the quintessential Mexican experience, all within a week!

Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome to the Mexican City of Cancun!

Your first day will all be about travelling and getting settled in your first destination, the city of Cancun. After flying into Cancun International Airport, you will be greeted by a local representative, complete with your name on a sign. A private taxi will then drive you to your hotel in the city. Depending on your arrival time, you may have some free time to explore the city and dine at your first Cancun restaurant.

Chichen Itzá Day Trip

Today, you will have the opportunity to explore the magic and mystery of Chichen Itza, the cultural centre of the ancient Maya civilisation! You will see the Kukulkan Pyramid and the Temple of a Thousand Columns among other amazing buildings and sites. The tour along the archaeological site takes your breath away, and a certified tourist guide will talk about the historical meaning and the unveiled mysteries of Chichen Itza. In 1988, UNESCO awarded Chichen Itza with World Heritage Site status and on July 7, 2007, it was included in the list of the “New Seven Wonders of the World”.

Catch the Bus From Cancun to Tulum

Today, you will delve into a more independent way of travelling. First, make your way to the local bus station in Cancun before catching the bus to Tulum. A mixture of laidback travel and a sense of adventure, your third day is the perfect chance to see the beautiful landscapes of Mexico pass by.

Free Day Exploring Tulum

Today, you will be free to explore the town of Tulum. Tulum has a lot to offer to the passing visitor for such a small town. These include everything from idyllic beaches, a vibrant town centre and some of the best-preserved coastal Maya sites in all of Mexico. Whether you want to have a busy, bustling day exploring the town or a relaxing one spent along the sand, Tulum has it all.

Day 5
Travel from Tulum to Playa del Carmen

Today, you will make your way back up the coast to Playa del Carmen. When catching the local bus to the town, you'll again have ample opportunity to see the beautiful Mexican coastline pass you by. Although the bus is paid for as part of your trip, you must head to the local bus station - a short distance from your Tulum hotel.

Free Day Exploring Playa Del Carmen
