Today, you will have the opportunity to explore the magic and mystery of Chichen Itza, the cultural centre of the ancient Maya civilisation! You will see the Kukulkan Pyramid and the Temple of a Thousand Columns among other amazing buildings and sites. The tour along the archaeological site takes your breath away, and a certified tourist guide will talk about the historical meaning and the unveiled mysteries of Chichen Itza. In 1988, UNESCO awarded Chichen Itza with World Heritage Site status and on July 7, 2007, it was included in the list of the “New Seven Wonders of the World”.

Today, you will delve into a more independent way of travelling. First, make your way to the local bus station in Cancun before catching the bus to Tulum. A mixture of laidback travel and a sense of adventure, your third day is the perfect chance to see the beautiful landscapes of Mexico pass by.

Today, you will be free to explore the town of Tulum. Tulum has a lot to offer to the passing visitor for such a small town. These include everything from idyllic beaches, a vibrant town centre and some of the best-preserved coastal Maya sites in all of Mexico. Whether you want to have a busy, bustling day exploring the town or a relaxing one spent along the sand, Tulum has it all.

Today, you will make your way back up the coast to Playa del Carmen. When catching the local bus to the town, you'll again have ample opportunity to see the beautiful Mexican coastline pass you by. Although the bus is paid for as part of your trip, you must head to the local bus station - a short distance from your Tulum hotel.

You can spend your morning wandering through the vibrant town, soaking up the bustling life that never seems to go away in Playa Del Carmen. You will head to the shoreline for even more stunning beaches or inland for a far more refreshing dip in a local freshwater swimming hole. Aside from the beauty of the natural surroundings, Playa Del Carmen is also home to a number of attractions within the town.
