Over seven wonderful days, you are given the chance to delve deeper into Cambodia's history.

First off, you'll start your Battambang tour where you'll visit all the famous temples and smaller ones that are still beautiful but not as crowded. Day 1

You'll be picked up in Siem Reap to start your journey. You'll stop for a visit to the Silk Farm at Pouk and learn about silkworm farming, cocoon unwinding, preparation of the silk threads, ikat technique (tie-dyeing of the threads) and silk weaving. Banteay Chmar is an immense temple complex left to the jungle for years, revealing superb carvings on its outer walls. On your Battambang tour, you'll stay the night in the nearby ancient temples, Buddhist shrines and the infamous bamboo railway.

Today, you'll learn all about the process and preserving fish into salted fish and fish paste. Wat Kor village has been designated one of the three cultural villages for its numerous ancient wooden houses and its natural and beautiful scenery. You have a chance to visit one of the wooden houses. Lastly, you'll pay a visit to Phnom Sampov, a striking limestone mountain with natural caves. For the duration of the day, you'll be driven from site to site by your local private driver.

Today, you'll make the journey to Phnom Penh, the drive will take around six hours and thirty minutes. En route, you'll stop at Phnom Oudong, situated in the north-western part of Kampong Speu Province.
This town was once the royal residence and Cambodia's capital for more than 250 years, until the year 1866. In the evening, you'll arrive at your villa in Phnom Penh which was built in 1963 when the Golden era went full blast.

This morning, your guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to visit the most popular attractions in Phnom Penh including the Royal Palace, Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the National Museum. The morning part of the day will be spent exploring by traditional cyclo, then in the afternoon, you'll travel by car to the sites that are a little further out of the city. In the evening, you'll be given recommendations of where to eat.

Today, you'll travel to Kratie, a small town on the bank of Mekong River. En route, you'll visit the sandstone temple Nokor Bachey, then the Chup Rubber Production Plant. You'll then hop on a boat from Kampi village to spot the Irrawaddy dolphins on the Mekong River. Later, you can relax and spend some time on a quiet beach or experience local life at Koh Trong Community Based Eco-Tourism Centre. The choice is yours.

Today, your day is mostly free to spend as you wish around this beautiful rural area of Cambodia. Take the chance to immerse yourself in the local rural life around the Mekong River with a bike ride around the island. You could also visit the Reforestation Project in Wat Ty Pram where you can actually plant your own tree. Then you can enjoy a free afternoon in the village or walk along the beach on the island.

This morning after breakfast, you'll say goodbye to your little Cambodian island paradise and drive back to Phnom Penh and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your own leisure. There’s plenty to see including the temple of Wat Phnom, the National Museum and the French Quarter. There are also bargains galore waiting to be picked up at another of the city’s most popular markets – the Central Market is where you will find the cities best gold and silver jeweller merchants.
