Embark on a journey through the historical highlights of ancient and modern Greece.

Beginning in Athens, you'll spend your first couple of days with a local guide acquainting yourself with Ancient Greece as you visit the major monuments in and around Athens City. By day three, it will be time to hit the road as you pick up your rental car and journey to the ancient site of Olympia passing many landmarks and key destinations en route.

The latter half of your 7 days in Greece will be spent travelling between Delphi, Kalambaka and Athens as you cover more historical landmarks and must-see destinations. At the end of your trip, you'll return to Athens enchanted by the events in history that shaped Greece into what it is today.

Upon arrival at Athens airport, you will be welcomed by your drive and guide who will then transfer you to your hotel. Athens, having been inhabited since the Neolithic age, is considered Europe’s historical capital and one of the world’s most emblematic cities. Today, it offers visitors a unique experience, a journey in its 6,000-year history, including the chance to see renowned monuments and masterpieces of the art of the antiquity and the Middle Ages.

Day 2

Today, your local guide will take you to see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of were held in 1896. You'll then visit the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the National Library, the Constitution Square, the Acropolis, the Parthenon and the new Acropolis museum. In the afternoon, you'll drive out to visit the Temple of Poseidon and watch the sunset at Cape Sounion, the southernmost point of Attica.

Day 3

Today, you'll receive your rental car and leave by the coastal road to Corinth Canal. On the way, you can stop to visit the Theatre of Epidaurus, famous for its remarkable acoustics. Then, you'll proceed to the town of Nafplio before driving on to Mycenae where you can visit the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. Finally, you'll depart for Olympia through Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis.

After breakfast, you'll begin today’s journey. In the western Peloponnese, in the beautiful valley of the Alpheios river, lies the most celebrated sanctuary of ancient Greece - the Ancient Site of Olympia and the Temple of Zeus. In the morning you will visit the Archaeological Site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum. Then, you'll drive through the plains of Eliad and Achaia, pass by picturesque towns and later, arrive in Delphi.

After breakfast, you'll once again prepare for another journey, today you'll travel to Kalambaka Before hitting the road, you'll visit the impressive Archaeological Site of Delphi and its museum. At the foot of Mount Parnassos, the UNESCO-listed Delphi was believed to be the centre of the world. It is set within a most spectacular landscape, was for many centuries the cultural and religious centre and symbol of unity for the Hellenic world. In the afternoon, you'll depart for Kalambaka.

This morning, you may visit Meteora, set among striking scenery, perched on top of huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air. Here, stand ageless Monasteries, where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. After exploring this incredible site, you'll return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylae (a short stop to see across the road the Leonida's Monument) and you'll arrive in the early evening, when your rental car will be picked up at your hotel in Athens.
