Overview
This eight-day Peru tour will show you all the most important places in the country. You'll begin your journey in Cusco, the heart of the Inca Empire! You'll then enjoy the beautiful landscapes surrounding the Sacred Valley of the Incas just outside of Cusco. You'll finish your time in this part of Peru by visiting the breathtaking archaeological site of Machu Picchu - the bucket-list-worthy moment you've been waiting for.
Continue to Puerto Maldonado, the capital of biodiversity in Peru! Explore the amazing Peruvian jungle and learn more about the different flora and fauna surrounding the Madre de Dios River. Finally, return to Lima to explore on your own the culinary capital of Latin America!

Arrival to Cusco

Welcome to Cusco! The historic heartland and former capital of the Incan Empire. Cusco is a favourite destination for many visitors to Peru. The city itself is the continent's oldest continuously inhabited city and was the home of the Inca Empire for two centuries before the Spanish built their first capital here.

Explore Cusco City

Today, you will discover the beautiful city of Cusco. During your tour, you'll pass by the Qorikancha Temple and visit the main square. Continue exploring the archaeological sites located on the outskirts of Cusco to understand the architectural feats that the Incas mastered. We will stay the night in Cusco.

Explore the Sacred Valley

Today, you will be mesmerised by the views of Sacred Valley of the Incas. You'll leave Cusco behind and begin the day with a Sacred Valley tour, visiting the colourful market town of Pisac. We will continue with a drive along the Urubamba River towards the town of Ollantaytambo, a magnificent example of Incan urban planning. You'll finish the day exploring Ollantaytambo before checking into your hotel.

Visit to Machu Picchu

Today will be a big day! Continuing your Peru tour, you'll visit the archaeological site of Machu Picchu and learn why the Incas were one of the most important cultures in the Americas! Covering an area of 37,302 hectares, the National Archaeological Park of Machu Picchu is a truly spectacular sight which leaves visitors with their mouths agape. After the visit, you will return to Cusco by train and by van with a camera full of pictures and a heart full of memories.

Travel to Puerto Maldonado

Today, travel by plane to Puerto Maldonado, the city of biodiversity. The following days are full of activities that will help you to discover a part of the Peruvian Jungle. We will stay in the Tambopata National Reserve at an amazing jungle lodge that is perfect for adventure lovers and families. This is a great base for our explorations into the Amazon.

From the Amazon to Lima
Hide details
Today say farewell to Puerto Maldonado and return to Lima. You will have the afternoon and evening to explore Lima. Lima is known for its great food, and we recommend sampling some of the amazing Peruvian cuisine here while observing the main sights around the city.
