This week is all about you where you'll have time to relax, rejuvenate, and enjoy the peace and calm of the beach in Ahungalla. On this holiday to Sri Lanka there are many activities at hand, should you wish to explore them, but at the heart of this trip is 'you-time'. Read a book, sip a cocktail over a spectacular Sri Lankan sunset and soak up some rays by the pool in your 5-star hotel!

Arrival in Sri Lanka

On arrival, you'll be immediately transferred to your hotel in Ahungalla. After a warm welcome, and some time to settle in, you'll be free to enjoy the hotel's beachside pool, or the beach itself. You'll feel immediately relaxed as you are surrounded by the sounds of the waves.

A Day in Ahungalla

Ahungalla Relax or Explore

After breakfast, you can choose whether you spend your day in the hotel or travel further afield to see what Sri Lanka has to offer. Further up north is Bentota Beach, a stunning vista of golden sand and palm trees that is still quite natural. You could spend your day relaxing there, taking a picnic or perhaps trying the food at the local restaurants there. Return for the sunset with a cocktail in hand at the hotel.

A Day in Ahungalla

Another day in Ahungalla may mean another day to relax for you! If you woke up feeling adventurous today, this might be the day that you go diving! Whether you are experienced or learning for the first time, the classes on Ahungalla Beach to suit everyone. The marine life on Sri Lanka's coastline is verdant, so no matter how deep you are able to go, what you see will blow you away!

Day 5
Exploration Day from Ahungalla

After a few days on the beach, take a break to explore nearby Galle. After the Dutch landed in Sri Lanka, Galle was the main port, so a fortress was created to protect the city. Today, you can explore the fort walls, taking a stroll around the city to learn more about the Dutch influence on the architecture and about the city's history. After the tour, you can explore more of the area if you wish.

A Day in Ahungalla

Wake up and have a coffee or tea on the beach and spend your day jumping between the sand and the poolside. Around Ahungalla there are many chances to get in touch with Sri Lanka's flora and fauna, including a turtle conservation project. Here, you'll learn all about turtles, how their lives are threatened and what local project do to help them. If you are lucky, you may witness turtles coming ashore, or babies ready to be released into the sea.
