Today, you'll arrive in Madrid and pick up the rental car that will be with you for your whole journey from the rental office at the airport. You will then drive to your hotel in Madrid before enjoying a free afternoon to explore and get acquainted with Spain's capital city to start your 8-day Spain tour. Today you'll explore the most important city in Spain, which is the capital of the country and therefore, an important political and financial centre. You'll visit a number of sites including the Reina Sofia Museum which holds over 21,000 works of art and main collections by Picasso and Dali, and also the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum which is a private collection of works of art from some of the world's most famous painters. You should also visit the Royal Palace and Prado Museum.

Day 3

Seville via Cordoba

Today you'll drive south to Seville and the crossing La Mancha Lands and entering Andalusia. Your first stop will be in Cordoba, that has been declared World Heritage City by the UNESCO. Here you will visit the magnificent Mosque-Cathedral, Viana Palace and the Alcazar. You will then continue your journey passing through the towns of Ecija and Carmona before arriving in the most emblematic Andalusian city, Seville.

Today, you'll venture out into Seville to discover this stunning city and its main streets, avenues and monuments. You can visit the Murillo Gardens, the Santa Cruz Neighbourhood with its cobbled streets, beautiful architecture and white-washed houses, and you can also visit the Alcazar of Seville. Whilst in Seville, you must also visit the Seville Cathedral which is the third largest church in the world. Two other nice squares to visit are the Plaza del Duque and Plaza de Espana.

Seville to Granada

Today, you'll drive from Seville crossing the Andalusian region from west to east and passing near the towns of Osuna and Antequera, before arriving in Granada. Once you arrive in Granada, you should visit the Old Quarter with important monuments such as the Royal Chapel and the Cathedral, the Church of San Juan de Dois in Baroque style, the Monastery of San Jeronimo in Renaissance style and the Sacromonte gypsy neighbourhood.

Madrid via Baeza and Ubeda

Today you'll leave Granada and head back towards Madrid, stopping at the beautiful cities of Baeza and Ubeda on the way. Baeza, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to many beautiful Rennaissance and Gothic architectural wonders. A little further up the road, you'll come across the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ubeda, full of beautiful squares, white-washed houses and Renaissance architecture. After Ubeda, you'll continue to your final destination of Madrid.

Today you'll leave Madrid behind and visit Toledo, a UNESCO World Heritage City. Toledo is a beautiful artistic city and a beautiful example of the history of cooperation between the Arabs, Jews and Christians of historical Spain. Whilst in Toledo, you can visit the Jewish Quarter, where you'll find the Synagogue of El Transito and Synagogue of Santa Maria La Blanca. Other interesting sites to visit whilst in Toledo are the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes and San Bartolome Church.
