Overview
On this 8-day Nepal holiday package we start from Kathmandu, the capital city and explore medieval art, architecture, Hinduism and Buddhism. This journey explore the roots of Nepalese cultures in their many different forms and celebrates the vibrant nature that can be found here.
Drive to Pokhara while taking in the amazing sights of Marsayngdi and Trisuli Rivers while looking out over Phewa Lake and across to the Himalayas. In Chitwan, delight in jungle activities on an all-inclusive programme and learn about Tharu culture.

Itinerary
Day 1
Kathmandu Sightseeing and Welcome Dinner

A private driver will collect you from the airport and transfer you to your hotel for check-in and quick tour briefing. In the afternoon we embark on an excursion of Kathmandu sightseeing to some of the most iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Swayambhunath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan City, and a Kumari Temple. In the evening, we meet for a welcome dinner.

Day 2
Swayambhunath and Patan Sightseeing

Swayambhu is an ancient religious stupa on top of a hill west of Kathmandu city. The Tibetan name for the site means 'Sublime Trees', for the many varieties of trees found on the hill. Patan City and Patan Durbar Square are the oldest of the three cities of Kathmandu valley and best known for their artistic heritage.

Day 3
Drive to Pokhara and Visit Lake Phewa

Today is a very scenic 6 hours drive past beautiful riverbanks and gorges. In Pokhara visit Seti George, Davis fall and Bindubasini temple. Barahi temple in the middle of Lake Phewa and is a fascinating landmark in Pokhara. Late afternoon, see the reflection of snow-capped mountains in the lake and close up views of Annapurna range and Fish Tail Peak while out on a walk.

Day 4
Sarangkot Sunrise, Drive to Chitwan and a Village Tour

Wake up early for a morning drive to Sarangkot for a magnificent sunrise view of the Annapurna range. After breakfast, there is a 5-hour drive to Chitwan. The Tharu community resides along the entire length of the Terai plains of Nepal and preserve their culture with pride. Go on a village tour that explains about Tharu culture, daily lifestyle and activities of the Tharu community in Chitwan.

Jungle Activities in Chitwan National Park

Choose your method of exploring the jungle with the choice of jeep safaris, walking tours or canoeing along Chitwan's two rivers. Maybe you are lucky and get to see deer, one-horned rhinos and a Royal Bengal tiger together with a great variety of flora. Bird-lovers will also love the impressive range of species that are found here.

Day 6
Bird-Watching and Drive to Kathmandu

Today we rise early to head out for a morning of bird-watching. Chitwan National Park has over 500 species of birds to observe and their prime time is early in the morning! After a hearty breakfast, we begin the long drive back to Kathmandu. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to explore the city at your leisure.

Sightseeing in Bhaktapur

Bhaktapur, locally known as Khwopa, is world-renowned for its elegant art, fabulous culture and indigenous lifestyle. The majestic monuments, colourful festivals and the native Newars are best known for their long history of craftsmanship. Your day is spent listening and observing to understand these ancient cultures. This evening, enjoy a traditional farewell dinner in a local restaurant.
