Your journey commences at Cape Jervis, starting point of the iconic Heysen Trail, one of the world’s great walking trails. It will be an easy introduction along a gently undulating shoreline that leads to Fisheries Beach and a series of coves tucked away along the trail. You'll slowly work your way towards Deep Creek Conservation Park, a highlight being the descent onto Blow Hole Beach with its sparkling waters. From here, you'll climb to Cobbler Hill for a short transfer to your accommodation.

After a hearty breakfast, you'll pick up the trail from Cobbler Hill and make your way across Aaron Creek and Tent Rock Creek to the main watercourse after which the park was named. The trail meanders from open woodlands to thick bushland with ancient grass trees and wildflowers. The sheltered gully of Deep Creek leads you to the year-round waterfall where you'll stop for lunch. Then, you'll gradually climb up to Tapanappa Ridge where a welcoming committee of kangaroos awaits.

The starting point for today begins with 180-degree views from Tapanappa Ridge towards the edge of the horizon. The panoramic views of the Pages Islands and Kangaroo Island are exchanged for a sheltered path that meanders through Pink Gum forests. Suddenly, the roar of the ocean is a distant memory and finches dart across your path. You'll leave Deep Creek Conservation Park as the Heysen Trail takes us to Tunkalilla Beach, a remote and very scenic wilderness of sand and surf.

The final leg of your journey takes you to the cliffs of Newland Conservation Park. Your day begins with a commanding view of Parsons Beach from where you'll follow the shoreline to Waitpinga Beach to walk along the beach before a short climb leads to the Newland Cliffs where photo opportunities abound. The trail gradually descends all the while hugging the coastline as you reach King Beach just outside Victor Harbour. At the end, you will be transferred to the Ridgetop Retreat.

This morning, you'll drive yourself or take a transfer to the ferry terminal and take the ferry across to Kangaroo Island. Upon arrival, you'll drive to the Sea Dragon Lodge and check in. Today, for the rest of the day, you can take a Kangaroo Island tour or explore it on your own in your car. There's so much to do here; recommended activities include visiting Admirals Arch, exploring Chase National Park and visiting the Remarkable Rocks.
