Discover the beauty of Thailand's rich culture, warm and friendly locals and fascinating history and architecture on this nine-day adventure from Bangkok to Chiang Mai!

Beginning in Bangkok, you'll explore the city in a number of unique ways: canal boat, tuk-tuk and a segway scooter! You'll discover the wonderful landmarks of this city and get your first introduction to Thai food.

Moving on, you'll head to the ancient capital of Ayutthaya to explore the many temples. Next, you'll head to Sukhothai, Suphanburi and Lampang for a few days before heading north to Chiang Mai where you'll spend the last few days of your trip exploring the city.

Upon arrival in Bangkok, your driver will be waiting for you with a personalised sign at the airport. You'll be taken to your private car for a transfer to the hotel. This morning, you will visit the Jim Thompson house, remarkable for its traditional wooden architecture. Over the course of the rest of the day, you'll immerse yourself in local life by taking the water taxi on the Bangkok klongs, taking tuk-tuks and stopping by a number of must-see attractions in Bangkok. You'll discover Wat Saket, the golden mountain perched on the hill, the Khao San district, Wat Arun and Wat Pho. You'll finish the day with sunset at the Rivervibe Restaurant.

You will begin your day by making your way to Ayutthaya for the visit of the ancient capital of Siam and remarkable archaeological site classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. You will visit the several impressive emblematic temples, such as Wat Phanangchoeng and Wat Lokaya Sutharam with its 42-metre reclining Buddha. You will also visit the Phra Si Sanphet temple, which served as a royal temple. Finally, the visit will end with the visit of Wat Mahathat, a symbol of Ayutthaya!

After breakfast, you'll depart for the province of Suphanburi to discover the small town of Sam Chuk its centenary market. You'll also visit a very well preserved ancestral house, which has become a museum and where it all began. In Uthaï Thani, a traditional rice barge will take you for lunch along the Sakae Krang River. Later on, when you reach your hotel, you'll have the evening at leisure.

This morning, you will start by exploring the historic Sukhothai Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will visit its main prestige of the 13th century which will include Wat Mahathat and Wat Sra Sri. Then, you will get on your own bicycles for a nice ride on the country roads. You will have impromptu stops to meet the villagers as they cross the rice fields and you'll visit some local workshops. In the afternoon, you'll hit the road for Lampang.

This morning, you'll have a short city tour of Lampang by horse-drawn carriage. You'll visit the Kad Luang market with its diversity of colours and scents. Thai people frequent this big market a lot, looking for the best products. To begin the afternoon, you will visit the Wat Chiang Man temple, the oldest in the city. You'll finish the tour with a visit to Wat Phra Sing which contains superb examples of Lanna art and depository of a copy of sacred texts, before heading to your hotel.
