After breakfast, you'll enjoy a city tour of Colombo, Sri Lanka’s commercial capital, before doing some shopping at the many malls and shopping complexes. Over the course of the day, you'll visit some of Colombo's most famous landmarks including Independence Square, Galle Face Green and more. In the evening, you could opt to head out on a cycle ride to discover the history of the city and the stories of some of its most prominent landmarks.

Today, you'll leave Colombo behind and head towards your next destination, Sigiriya. En route to Sigiriya, you will stop at Dambulla Cave Temple, a temple which contains, amongst other things, the largest rose quartz mountain in South Asia which dates back to the 1st century BCE. Tonight, you will have dinner and stay overnight at the luxurious Cinnamon Lodge Habarana.

After breakfast, you'll climb the mighty Sigiriya Lion Rock, labelled as one of the eight wonders of the world and located in the central province of Sri Lanka. In the afternoon, you'll embark on an interesting village tour. Bullock Carts are one of the ancient modes of Sri Lanka’s transport methods and some villages still use this as their mode of transportation. Today, you'll experience this as well as a short canoe ride to a local farmers house where you will enjoy lunch.

After breakfast, you will visit a spice garden en route to Kandy. Here, you can enjoy Sri Lanka’s world-renowned spices at their source, where smells of cinnamons, pepper, cardamom, nutmeg and mace overwhelm the senses and the visitors are provided with an insight into an age-old industry of spice production which attracted many European and Asian merchants to the ports of ancient Sri Lanka. In the afternoon, you'll arrive in Kandy.

Continue your Sri Lanka luxury tour today visiting the city of Kandy – the last kingdom of the Sri Lankan kings. You'll visit the main landmarks and sights of Kandy before visiting The Temple of the Tooth Relic. The temple is of significant value to the Buddhists of Sri Lanka as it houses the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha, the leader of the faith. Back at your hotel, you can spend the rest of your day relaxing by the hotel pool.

Sometimes known as the Little England of Sri Lanka, Nuwara Eliya is a mountain station at 1,868 metres altitude, set in a splendid landscape. The grass is always green and gives the locality an aspect of Colonial British style. En route to Nuwara Eliya today, you'll drive through mountains and valleys, and visit Ramboda Falls and a famous tea factory to taste Sri Lanka's wonderful tea. In the evening, you can go for a stroll around the picturesque Gregory Lake.

After breakfast, you'll say goodbye to 'Little England' and head towards to railway station to catch your scenic train to Ella. This train journey has come to be known as one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world and today, you'll learn why. Upon arrival, you'll have the rest of the day to explore the small town of Ella to discover its hidden gems.

After breakfast, you'll say goodbye to Ella and continue on your journey to Yala National Park. This park is a huge area of forest, grassland and lagoons bordering the Indian Ocean, in southeast Sri Lanka. It’s home to wildlife such as leopards, elephants and crocodiles, as well as hundreds of bird species. En route to Yala shortly after leaving your hotel, you'll stop to climb Little Adam's Peak for a wonderful view over Ella and also visit Ravana Falls.

After breakfast, you'll set out to your final destination of the trip, Bentota. Before leaving Yala, you'll make sure to head into the national park for a wonderful safari trip to spot the many animals that call this park home. Before reaching Bentota, you'll stop to explore Galle including the Galle Dutch Fort and the famous Stilt Fisherman which are a highlight of this journey.
