The journey will take around 4.5 hours with a stop on the way to visit the Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda which is the house to many species of turtles found in the Sri Lankan coast. Here, you'll learn about their conservation efforts to save the rapidly eroding turtle population. In the evening, you'll enjoy dinner at the beachfront resort.

Today, you have the day free to spend as you wish. You may want to go on a Kushtarajagala tour to visit the monument shrouded in a great many fabled legends. The intricate carvings are the perfect setting for the history buff and the art lover. You can also choose from various Ayurvedic treatments and enjoy aromatherapy massages at the resort. Alternatively, you can take part in a special cooking class and prepare your own dinner and learn about the local cuisine.

Today you will visit Yala National Park, home to the highest density of Leopards in the world and the second largest National Park in Sri Lanka. Leisure activities in Weligama are unlimited, but the most favoured ones are beach and water sports activities. Sandy beaches with shallow waters are perfect for surfing and attract many beginners. The 20-metre long pool is situated near the beach, restaurant and bar. There are wooden sunbeds with parasols and beach towels at the guest's disposal free of charge. The swimming pool has a separated part for small children. On the wooden terrace next to the pool, there is a jacuzzi for six people.
