The guide takes you from your hotel to where you board the shuttle to cross the Thu Bon River for about 15 minutes, to the Kim Bong carpenters village. You will visit the shipbuilding workshop, wood carving, mosaic and other workshops. The locals will teach you how to make traditional wooden boats at Mr Kha’s workshop that has been opened for 85 years. He manufactures cart boats, woven by bamboo and palm trees.

You will have a full day to visit some of the famous places around Hanoi: the stilt house of Ho Chi Minh (this is where our Uncle Ho spent the final days of his life), the One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature and the Museum of Ethnology. It was first built to be a relaxing resort where all the majors and captains would come for holiday's back in the 19th century when Vietnam still belonged to the French. Late afternoon, prepare to take the night train back to Hanoi.
