Today you can relax at the hotel or you could visit the Bentota beach to shake off the jet lag and recharge your energy. Bentota beach offers plenty of opportunities to wind down under the shade or to simply spend time at the numerous restaurants along the beach. You could go on a boat ride on the Madu River which is dotted with small islands and the banks which are covered with lush mangrove forests that are home to dozens of incredible animal species.

Today, you'll go on one of the best tours in Sri Lanka, in the afternoon you will visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery. This organisation aims to protect sea turtle eggs and increase hatching rates. You will find many different species of turtles including a rare albino turtle. You will also have the unique experience of being a part of releasing the fit younglings back to the ocean during sundown!

Relax at the villa or spend time at the Bentota Beach in the morning. You also have the option of visiting the Brief Garden, which is the legendary garden and country home of Sri Lankan artist Bevis Bawa. The garden resembles a magical place from a fantasy novel and presents a wonderful space in which to lose yourself for a few hours, especially if you have a keen interest in landscape design.

Relax at the hotel until your check out time and then a private driver will transfer you to Galle. The journey will take around one hour. Then you will go on a guided tour of the impressive Galle Fort, a site built in the 17th century that features Portuguese and Dutch architecture. A guide will take you around the grounds and explain the history behind these incredible walls that withstood the Boxing Day tsunami in 2004.

Unawatuna Beach is quite possibly one of Sri Lanka’s best coastlines. Palm trees and vegetation border one side while the sand and sea stretch out on the other. Visit Rumassala which was once called ‘Buono Vista’ due to its terrific views. It’s rich in biodiversity including coral reefs and purple-faced langurs, which are endemic to the country. Visit the beaches where lush vegetation provides welcome shade and creates an idyllic environment for relaxing.

Today you have the day free to spend as you wish. You could relax at your hotel or spend some time around the Galle Fort by visiting various attractions such as museums or sampling the local cuisine. Strolling around the streets you will see plenty of examples of charming colonial architecture on every corner. You can also spend some time in the urban park of Galle Face Green, which is a wonderful place to have a picnic or to watch the sunset.

After breakfast embark on the trip to Yala, a journey that will take between three to four hours. Located in the deep south territory of Sri Lanka, Yala is the second largest national park in the country, home to many endemic species and it boasts one of the highest densities of leopards in the world. You are free to relax at the hotel after check-in.

Today you will visit Yala National Park early in the morning with a packed breakfast for an exciting safari adventure. The park is home to the highest density of leopards in the world and is the second-largest national park in Sri Lanka. You will go on a jeep safari around the grounds and will have the opportunity to get close to exotic birds and different species of animals including leopards, wild elephants, deer, wild boars, sambars, snakes and crocodiles.

After breakfast at your hotel, a private driver will transfer you to Ella. This journey will take around 2 hours. Later in the afternoon, you can visit the famous Nine Arch bridge in Demodara. This bridge was built when Sri Lanka was under British rule and is one of the most emblematic examples of colonial construction in the country. The bridge is carved into the lush surrounding countryside and is perfect for a photo opportunity.

If you like starting your mornings with a refreshing trek, then you must visit Ella Rock. This lovely hike takes about 2-3 hours to reach its final stop – Ella Rock. This is one of the best places in Ella where you'll have phenomenal views of the valley which will also give you the best opportunity to take some incredible photos. It is advised you take a guide or someone who is familiar with the trail, as this trek isn't signposted well.

Proceed to Colombo after breakfast at your hotel. It is approximately a 5-6 hour drive from Ella to Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. Colombo is known for its small bars with great live music, lively casinos with roulette tables, fabulous restaurants serving delicious food, themed pubs and a very enthusiastic crowd - it has it all! You'll have the afternoon to relax after the long journey before heading out in the evening to experience this great nightlife!

You can visit some of the main attractions here, such as the Galle Face Green, Gangarama Temple, or the National Museum. You could also try some mouth-watering street food on offer here and get a taste of what local life is like in the capital.
