Embark on this five-day Norway in a nutshell tour which takes you through some of Norway’s most beautiful fjord scenery that includes the breathtaking experiences on the Bergen Railway, the Flam Railway, the Aurlandsfjord, the Naeroyfjord and the steep Stalheimskleiva road.
In the comfort of your train and cruise boat, you'll marvel at fjord scenery with beautiful waterfalls, flowing rivers, deep valleys and mountains. With a stay in a riverside lodge near Flam, you'll take your time to enjoy the scenery by hiking, kayaking and biking.

Day 1
Arrive in Oslo

Today, you'll arrive in Oslo and make your own way to your hotel in the heart of Oslo. The Norwegian capital has a great deal to offer for the discerning traveller. If you arrive early, it is recommended that you take a walk around the centre of town to view the parliament, the castle and the harbour area. In the afternoon, you'll meet your private guide for sightseeing by car. The program is flexible depending on what you would like to see as Oslo has a wide variety of museums to explore.

Day 2
Travel from Oslo to Flam on a Spectacular Train Journey

Today, you'll catch an early morning train to Myrdal. From the comfort of your train, you'll watch fjord scenery with beautiful waterfalls, flowing rivers, deep valleys and mountains. On arrival, you'll take a private transfer to your boutique riverside hotel in the Aurland valley. Later, you'll head out on a hike to experience the heart of the Norwegian fjords in this terrific spot. After your hike, you can relax in the calm and quiet garden before dinner is served in the converted Smokehouse.

Rowing on the Lake, Hike to a Pasture Farm and Relaxing at the Riverside Lodge

The day starts out with a breakfast of champions, giving you a taste of the magic that is local, organic ingredients. After breakfast it is time for a calming and mindful session at the lake, trying your skills in a traditional Norwegian rowboat. Afterwards, you'll go ashore for a hike to one of Aurland's traditional pasture farms where you'll enjoy a rich lunch in rustic surroundings. Afterwards, the wood red hot tub and sauna await you before dinner in the converted Smokehouse.

Day 4
Fjord Cruise from Flam to Gudvangen and Scenic Journey to Bergen

The day starts with a spectacular two-hour fjord cruise from Flam to the tiny fjord village of Gudvangen. You'll enjoy the magnificent views of the Aurlandsfjord and the Næroyfjord - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Gudvangen, you will be met by a private van for a guided journey to Bergen. This takes you through the beautiful Stalheim canyon with the Stalheimskleiven hairpin road (May to September), into Voss and then you'll drive into Bergen.
