Early in the morning, your guide will collect you from your hotel or the airport and head straight towards Tijuca National Park, just 30 minutes away. The rainforest offers wonderful birdwatching opportunities with several Atlantic Forest endemics like Black-cheeked Gnateaters, Scaled Antbirds, Plain Parakeets, Pin-tailed Manakins, Red-necked Tanagers among others. You'll enjoy a full five-hour experience spotting and learning about all different types of bird species in the rainforest.

Today, both of these hikes are best for experienced hikers. The Alto da Boa Vista trekking experience is a 5.6-mile trek with 604 metres in height and many minor technical challenges. This experience offers incredible viewpoints at the Alto da Boa Vista viewpoint, Emperor's Table, Chinese Vista, and many others. On your way back, the guides will take you on trails down to the Horto Neighbourhood where at least three waterfalls will offer you opportunities to freshen up!

After a morning guided walk in Tijuca National Park, you'll embark on a wonderful trek to the “Waterfall of Souls” or “Cachoeira das Almas” with your local guide. This fun, engaging and exciting walk is available for those of all different experience levels. It will be a nice relaxing seven-kilometre walk after the challenging treks from the days before. You'll be able to see the various waterfalls and enjoy a refreshing dip!

Would you like to have an overall sense of the city's landscape while hiking in the forest of one of the most iconic rock mountains in Leblon Beach? Then, you'll want to head out on this hike to the Two Brothers Rock Mountain Lookout. After a break for lunch, you will then walk with a local guide through the Vidigal Favela, one of the most famous favelas in the city, all the way up to the Dois Irmãos viewpoint.
