After check-in at the hotel and a quick briefing of your trip, we head out on a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square. This afternoon, you will be free to do some shopping to stock up on some last-minute items for your upcoming trek. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at an authentic Nepali restaurant.

We embark on a sightseeing tour of one of the greatest World Heritage Sites in Nepal, Swayambhunath or we could visit Boudhanath and Pashupatinath. This trip will bring us visits to temples, numerous religious sites and finishing at the old royal palace set in Kathmandu's Durbar Square. This introduction to the sanctity of Kathmandu will give you great insight in Newar culture.

Day 3

Today, we trek from Sunjdarijal to Chisapani. The unpaved road from Kathmandu turns into a trail near a small hydroelectric plant. The trail goes through the Shivpuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve. The first stop is the Tamang village, Mulkharka where we will rest and meet some locals. The route then heads down the ridge through a forest of oaks and rhododendron to reach Chisapani.

Chisapani to Nagarkot

Today after breakfast at the hotel, we begin our trek to Chauki Bhanjag, which is about 3.5 hours away, where we will have a little rest. Continuing on, we pass villages, following bird song to reaching the town of Nagarkot. You can either enjoy a leisurely stroll around the town or head up to the viewpoint before we then put our feet up for a well-deserved rest at the hotel.

Start the day by getting up early to go to Nagarkot viewpoint for an amazing view of the mountains as daylight shines through. After breakfast, we start our trek to Dhulikhel. See an impressive vista of the snowy central Himalayas making a backdrop to the gentle hills. In the afternoon, we stroll through Dhulikhel village and see locals going about their daily lives.

Today, we start our trek to Namobuddha, one of the most sacred Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Nepal. placed on the exact site Buddha gave his flesh to the tigress and her cubs. After a visit to a monastery, we have lunch and a well-deserved break. The trek takes us to Panauti at the confluence of the Roshi and Punyamati rivers where we rest for the day.

This morning, we'll make our way back to Kathmandu. On the way, stop in Bhaktapur, an ancient Newar city in the east corner of the Kathmandu Valley. You'll explore Bhaktapur Durbar Square, one of the most important in the Kathmandu Valley. Returning to Kathmandu, you'll have some time to rest. This evening, we will experience true Nepali hospitality over dinner.
