A Soggy Winter:

• As well as many places being closed, the winter months can also bring a lot of rain. These cold and the wet can make hiking from November to March pretty miserable. Avoid Lake Regions in May:

• The northern lake region, especially Lake Como, experiences the highest level of rainfall in May. If you plan to visit during these months, bring waterproofs!
